This library keyboard seems to not want me to capitalize, but I'm going to persevere. Okay.

So I'm back to working captioning telephone calls, glory hallelujah, I should be out of training by next week. (Expect a victory post full of gifs, I really am not enjoying rehashing everything I learned two years ago and will be happy to be out.) It's a good job that gives me time to read fic, and is not 80 minutes away like the previous job which I never mentioned here because I disliked it so much.

Fighting back against the writer's block as always. I don't know what to start with, since I have so many WiPs and things that should really have been written a year ago. The Muse only comes to me when she feels like it, alas. :/

The WiPs are all at that point where I have to make major decisions, and I have three or four potential plotlines per story, with varying degrees of ridiculousness and wankiness. "Write the good idea," I know, but it's not as easy as that. I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to avoiding plotholes, to the point of not writing at all. Oy.

I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A BETA. My grand ol' friends (occultebelta on style and voice, dramaturgy on themes, arcs and voice, and kaesa on mechanics, style and voice) are serving remarkably well, but I feel bad for pressing them into service at my bidding. If you consider yourself a particularly rough and tumble beta with time and patience, maybe drop me a line? ;_; Thanks.

Speaking of betaing, I have 14 chapters of fic from kaesa to beta. Yep: 14. This weekend is going to be great.

I don't even know where to start about what's happened in the last few months.

Suffice to say that I'm still alive, mostly, and trying very hard to write despite the sheer amount of stress of any given workday.

Yep. I'll come back and write more at some point. I don't even know if this post has a point other than to indicate that this journal isn't dead.

Title: War is the Common Cry: Chapter 1, Time Has Come Today 1/4
Fandom: Supernatural
Characters/Pairing: Ensemble piece, with all the big players of S6, special emphasis on Dean, Sam, Castiel, Gwen Campbell, Lisa Braeden, and John and Mary Winchester. Dean/Lisa in this chapter; future Dean/Cas and Dean/Cas/Lisa, implied Crowley/Cas and Balthazar/Cas, and Gwen femmeslash.
Rating: PG-13/T in this part, will go up to R in future chapters.
Word count: 8190.
Notes: For needtakehave's Foreclosure Sucks auction. elsewhere_kels prompted "John and Mary are trapped in purgatory and then someone opens up a door from there back onto earth - escaping isn't easy, but they manage it, possibly with Cas' help, and then they have to help the boys close the door and take care of the bad things that escaped." dramaturgy, kaesa, occultebelta, and drunkcascookies are to thank for this one getting up and being nice and polished, so THANKS GUYS :D Title from Led Zeppelin's The Battle of Evermore.
Summary: This is episode 1 of a series of 4 episodes that will cover an AU take on Supernatural Season 6. Meet Gwen Campbell, Main Character, Lisa Braeden, Budding Badass, and Eve, the Big Bad to end all Big Bads. Celestial warfare is about to go down, and the Winchesters are gonna need all the help they can get. Rachel stares at him like she can see right through him, like Cas did back in that barn when he and Bobby first summoned him, and Dean stares right back. There's nothing for her to read, nothing he's ready to give her. "I've proven where my loyalties lie in this war," she says finally. "Sam, Dean – follow the Campbells. Theirs is the path to victory."

I feel like I need one more first-reader/beta on this Supernatural Season 6 AU, so I'mma make a pitch, to you, my Cas-girl-full flist.

This fic includes:
-- Badass Lisa
-- Gwen Campbell, Major Character
-- Eve, Major Villain
-- Demon Bela
-- The return of the Winchester parents (in a v. different form than you might expect)
-- A Cas-girl-friendly Purgatory arc (i.e., one that's in character for everyone, or so I hope)
-- A very probable Castiel/Dean/Lisa OT3 arc

I have 5k written in this 'verse and intend to write at least four chapters.

Anyone interested?

Title: ... And All The World's a Stage (Epilogue)
Fandom: Supernatural/Good Omens
Characters/Pairing: Crowley-centric. In this part, Aziraphale, Adam Young, the Them, Jesse Turner, Chuck Shurley, Balthazar, and Castiel; Crowley/Aziraphale, Crowley/Castiel implied.
Rating: PG-13.
Word count: 4459.
Note: This fic is set in a merged 'verse, with GO background and setting for the SPN Apocalypse plotline, with Crowley being the nexus of both. (Also, to see the footnotes, mouseover the link.) Spoilers up to SPN 7x02, "Hello, Cruel World". Credit to occultebelta, dramaturgy and kaesa for the beta job.
Summary: May 2010 to June 2011; the search for Purgatory pushes Crowley once again into main character territory. He's not thrilled. "Congratulations," Aziraphale says, and offers a broad smile in something akin to pride. "You're going to be the King of Hell."

Chapter 1: 1987 to 2007; how Crowley survived the aftermath of the Adam Young incident and rose to prominence beside Lilith.
Chapter 2: 2007 to 2008; Crowley sizes up the players and stacks his deck in preparation for the coming Apocalypse.
Chapter 3, Part I: Late 2008 to early 2009; Crowley's reconnection with Aziraphale raises a series of questions, and leads to its inevitable conclusion.
Chapter 3, Part II: May 2009 to Spring 2010; Crowley puts his plan into action and leaves a trail of bodies in his wake.

Or at AO3, if that floats your boat!

Rating: Hard PG-13, R for violence.
Word count: 619.
Warning: Horror. Cannibalism. I'm serious.
Notes: For sherlockbbc's Halloween Make Me a Monday: "2) Mycroft's a cannibalistic monster on certain nights ("How's the diet?") and Sherlock's the only one who knows (for fear of what might happen if he tells)."
Summary: "How's the diet?" Mycroft is hiding a secret bigger than anything the Home Secretary could boast of knowing, and only his brother shares it with him. The hunger is terrible. It has always been terrible. Fortunately, Mycroft is not the sort to be easily cowed by difficult situations.
