This library keyboard seems to not want me to capitalize, but I'm going to persevere. Okay.
So I'm back to working captioning telephone calls, glory hallelujah, I should be out of training by next week. (Expect a victory post full of gifs, I really am not enjoying rehashing everything I learned two years ago and will be happy to be out.) It's a good job that gives me time to read fic, and is not 80 minutes away like the previous job which I never mentioned here because I disliked it so much.
Fighting back against the writer's block as always. I don't know what to start with, since I have so many WiPs and things that should really have been written a year ago. The Muse only comes to me when she feels like it, alas. :/
The WiPs are all at that point where I have to make major decisions, and I have three or four potential plotlines per story, with varying degrees of ridiculousness and wankiness. "Write the good idea," I know, but it's not as easy as that. I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to avoiding plotholes, to the point of not writing at all.
Oy.I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A BETA. My grand ol' friends (
occultebelta on style and voice,
dramaturgy on themes, arcs and voice, and
kaesa on mechanics, style and voice) are serving remarkably well, but I feel bad for pressing them into service at my bidding. If you consider yourself a particularly rough and tumble beta with time and patience, maybe drop me a line? ;_; Thanks.
Speaking of betaing, I have 14 chapters of fic from
kaesa to beta. Yep: 14. This weekend is going to be great.
